NameMount StuartDescriptionTownsville Suburb: Named after Clarendon Stuart, the surveyor who carried out the first subdivision of land
at Cleveland Bay. Mun-dal-ghan is the local Aboriginal name of the mountain recorded by Charles Price in 1885.
