Mundingburra

DESCRIPTION

NameMundingburraDescriptionTownsville Suburb: The name developed from Mun-dine-bo-ro which was the local Aboriginal name for the Rising Sun district recorded by Charles Price in 1885. The suburb takes its name from the “Village of Mundingburrah” subdivided in the early 1870s by Robert Towns and some of his Sydney associates.
