Policeman in 1865, and was married to Mr Robinson, who had come up with Messrs W. Hann and Cudmore with sheep. They lost £2000 on a vineyard at Kissing Point and then commenced dairying at German Gardens. Mr Robinson was a German, and the Gardens which he started gave he name to the place and are still Mrs Robinson’s property. Later the couple took up Mount St. John and did well in the land boom. Mr Robinson died some years ago, but Mrs Robinson, as her photograph shows, is still hale and hearty at 73.
