Commonwealth and State grant funding was received under the Monsoon Grant Scheme to create a permanent community repository and virtual gathering place to remember the event.

The website which has been created for this project will serve as a legacy item for the community and allow for the continued donation and sharing of videos and images of Townsville's people, places and events, preserving them for future generations.
